RAAF

The first example is likely to be a fashion button modeled after RAAF uniform buttons. It is only 7mm in diametre and a pretty pink!

This is a ‘Staybrite’ (anodised aluminium) Royal Australian Air Force button by Stokes & Sons Melbourne, dating 1953-1962.

This is probably a later version, as it has at the back dark blue plastic liner, with no maker’s mark. Nichols Industries made uniform buttons lined with plastic dating after 1970. Perhaps this is one of theirs?
