Beauclaire Buttons from 1950
In 1950 General Plastic donated sample/display boards of buttons to the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences for their plastics collection.
Perspex was not manufactured in Australia until 1956, so the 1950 perspex buttons on the card must have been made from imported perspex button blanks. The metal escutcheon and shank have been pressed into the casein body of the button.
