Hobsons & Sons were uniform contractors for the army, volunteers and police from 1850, situated near the Woolwich Barracks.

Around 1885 the address was renamed, as seen in the advertising from 1888 below:
They moved to Essex in the 1930s, and still provide uniforms and workwear today.
