Trouser Buttons

What an interesting find, reportedly from the 1920s but possibly from the 1950s; I didn’t think trouser buttons were made in Australia?!

It prompted me to search in Trove for article about metal trouser buttons:

Daily telegraph (Sydney), 28th January 1908 page 6.

Riverina Recorder (NSW) 6th August 132 page 4.

Daily telegraph (Sydney), 13th September 1935 page 7. I wonder whether this is true or just an urban myth.
