Tailors’ Buttons

J C Stewart & Co, Broken Hill

John Charles Ollenshaw Stewart, born in Belfast, Ireland, was a tailor in Broken Hill for many years. He died there in 1943, aged 88 years. He had operated under his own name since 1910, having worked at D. D. Murray & Co previously.

Mr George Albert Ramage (1872- 1943) and Thomas George Drury ( 19881-1969) left John Martin’s to work on their own in 1922, They soon moved to 91 Gawler Place, where they worked until around 1930.
