Unusually large buttons on the belt, collar and cuffs for this era.

Surely the buttons below  are only large in quantity, rather than in size?

The Sun (Sydney), 26th May 1925 page 13. “Large buttons are still popular as trimming, and form a smart finish to the new overblouses.”For 1932, I’m a little surprised at the skimpiness of the top of the “beach pyjamas” in on the left. Judging from the commentary, so was the journalist!

The Sun (Sydney), 15th September 1932 page 26.I love these two fashionable ladies: Dress #1 has large gilt buttons along the shoulder lines. Dress #2 has two triangle-shaped buttons on the seem below the waist line.
