Uniform production during WW2

Newcastle Morning Herald and Miners’ Advocate (NSW), 25th November 1939 page 9.  H. R. Hayman Pty. Ltd. was registered in 1938 as clothing manufacturers. As the article above states, they originally made menswear, but went to full uniform production in mid 1939. Although Mr Hayman expected to be finished with military wear by April 1940, the firm was still producing them in 1950, although a lack of work in 1949 had caused them to sack most of their workers at that time. The company survived the downturn, being deregistered in 2009.
