New Finds: Embassy
In the 1950s Coles did not seems to have along term stratagem with regards to the ‘look’ of its marketing. There were several styles of cards:
Most of the cards had the brand name printed upon it, but some just had ‘Fashion Buttons’.
After adopting the “the map of Australia” in 1959, they stuck with it until 1970.
They then adopted the “rounded parallelogram” from 1971 until the Embassy brand was retired in 1994 (although the brand Haby Habits was used instead on cards of buttons from some time during the 1980s).
