Vintage Woolworths
These are two of five styles of cards used (possibly simultaneously) by Woolworths in the mid 1950s. Why they spent money on so many differing designs is a puzzle. They were all home brands of Woolworths, and all supplied by General Plastics.
For further variety; sometimes the cards were labelled “Woolworths”; sometimes just with the home brand. I have another card of the same fish-eye buttons as on the middle button, but supplied with cream cotton instead of pink. I guess that type of thing happened sometimes when cards were mounted by hand.
