Huon Pine (Lagarostrobos franklinii , previously dacrydium franklinii)) is a conifer native to the Southwest of Tasmania. It is not actually a “true” pine. It is valued for its golden yellow, finely grained, and uniquely perfumed wood. The slow growing trees are some of the oldest living organisims on earth.
