1957 Beauclaire buttons

These buttons have a sort of dumbell or  slightly S shaped shank, that is only found on  Beauclaire buttons. While it was not the only shank they used, if you see this shank on a plastic button, it was definatly a Beauclaire button.

Mid 1950s Beauclaire, early 1970s Embassy, late 1960s Beutron.

There was no real difference between ‘colour matched’ and ‘new’ Beutron; perhaps the ‘new’ strips dating a little earlier than the other. Both mid 1960s.
