Edward also collected other war relics, walking sticks, match boxes, caricatures, rare books, gold and silver plate, and model ships. His grandsons, Edward the Prince of Wales and brother George were also button/badge collectors.

Edward was also a keen collector of stamps, old nautical prints, musical instruments and antique silver. His mother, Queen Mary collected a wide range of antiques; his father, King George, was a collector of stamps and curios.
