WWII RAAF Uniform Tunic – Tailored By Fred Hesse Melbourne

The letters RAAF were not added onto the buttons until post WW2.

Fred Hesse was a tailor and outfitter in Melbourne from 1922. He expanded to have outlets in Gippsland. During the war he supplied uniforms. Although the died in 1951, the business continued until 1961 at least.

Frederick Francis Hesse 1932. Born in London in 1885,  arriving in Melbourne in 1913.
