Christmas Gift Ideas

From the Fashion Pattern Department of the Australian Women’s Weekly, 4th November 1944.

These toys were designed to be made from scraps of worn-out clothes “to help mothers fill the Christmas Stocking at little cost”. Purse were tight, and the shop shelves bare. The magazine cost 3 pennies, and included in with love stories, recipes and knitting patterns were stories concerning the Pacific War, yet to be concluded.
