A report from July 2002 on the’ Archaeological Investigation Conservation Siter, Macquarie Street, Sydney, Volume 1: History & Archaeology for NSW Department of Public Works & Services’ by Casey & Lowe P/L, on page 269 had some interesting illustrations of historical buttons.
