Jam Wood Buttons

“Raspberry Jam” wattle (Acacia acuminata) is a native of West Australia; named for its aroma! Growing up to 5 metres, it has a dark reddish brown heartwood surrounded by a lighter yellowish sapwood, as can be seen in the buttons. The resin and seeds are used in aboriginal cooking.
